Let’s produce what we need to meet demand, without excess and reduce waste. The challenge to achieve a world where eye care and rehabilitation services are accessible, affordable and inclusive to all has never been greater. Yet challenge also brings opportunity.
Poor vision is the most widespread unaddressed disability in the world today, and basic eye care is low on the list of priorities for poor countries and donors. An estimated 2.5 billion people, mostly living in the poorest parts of the planet and a majority of whom are women, cannot see clearly and have no access to treatment. Yet for 80% of the 2.5 billion, all they need is a simple pair of prescription spectacles. An eye exam or a pair of glasses gives young people a better chance in school, would help women live better lives and is critical to eliminating poverty. Join us to make a radical change.

Galleries Commit X Art to Acres
Art to Acres is a 501(c)(3) artist-founded, non-profit environmental and art initiative that focuses on large-scale land conservation for climate, indigenous peoples and biodiversity support. Permanent, old-growth forest conservation prevents carbon emissions released during deforestation while simultaneously protecting an ecosystem’s wildlife, habitat, clean water and local community. Contributions can be made by individuals, galleries or institutions as one part of carbon accounting that’s focused on understanding and reducing emissions, or as standalone donations.

The Cheetah Conservation Fund
CCF has the best researchers, educators and conservationists working and living on-site at their International Research and Education Centre in Otjiwarongo, Namibia. Every part of their holistic conservation approach ties into their release program. Each orphaned and injured cheetah’s rehabilitation and release program can cost CCF up to USD 13,000. Most orphan cubs come to us at an early age and need to grow for a couple years or more before they are old enough to go back into the wild. However, the value of releasing these cheetahs into the wild to play their role in the ecosystem is priceless!

Assisted Hurricane Relief Efforts in the Turks and Caicos Islands, 2008
In September 2008, Antonia's beloved home, the Turks and Caicos Islands, located southeast of the Bahamas, was hit by two major hurricanes, Ike and Hanna. The aftermath of the disaster left many homes, schools, and businesses in disrepair for months.
